March 19 and 20, on the heels of Local Orbit’s Hub Camp in Los Angeles, is the inaugural Grow Riverside: Citrus and Beyond! conference, focusing on innovations in the traditionally agricultural Inland Empire.

Grow Riverside will focus on the development of urban agriculture strategies and solutions that cities can use to reconnect with their agricultural roots and create economic opportunities that investors, citizens, growers, government officials and other major stakeholders can leverage to foster a robust and sustainable local food future. The event will be held at the Riverside Convention Center on March 19 – 20, 2014 in partnership with the City and Community of Riverside.

Local Orbit’s Erika Block and Noah Fulmer are participating as panelists. Erika will speak about Innovations in Local Agriculture, and Noah will be on a panel about Growth Strategies for Local Agriculture. Dwight Detter and Don Nishiguchi of Whole Foods are also featured speakers. They will be joining us the day before with Kimberly Albright to lead the food safety workshop at Hub Camp LA.
